What is Rune Carving?

Rune Carving is a reworked feature on NosVarya that lets you carve your Main Weapon and Armour to further improve their offensive and defensive stats.

Where can I start Rune Carving?

You can carve runes for your equipment at the Martas NPC in Olorun Village.

How does Rune Carving work?

Your Main Weapon and Armour can each receive up to a total of 30 Rune Levels. Runes carved on your Weapon grant Offensive Runes, while runes on your Armour grant Defensive Runes.

Each stage of the carving process behaves differently:

Rune Levels	What happens
1 – 5	Each level grants you one unique rune skill (5 skills in total).
6 – 25	Each successful upgrade adds one step to one of your 5 rune skills.
26	You receive 1 random Rune Power (Weapon Rune Power or Armour Rune Power).
27 – 30	Each successful upgrade raises the level of that Rune Power by 1, up to +5.

How to Carve Runes on your Equipment

Each carving attempt requires materials. The materials needed vary depending on the current Rune Level of the equipment piece.

What tools are available when Carving Runes?

Tool	Description
Repair Rune Anvil	Repairs equipment that is damaged during Rune Carving.
Rune Solvent	Downgrades your rune by 1 level, reverting the most recent carving. It cannot be used on equipment that has already been downgraded by a Rune Solvent.
Rune Removal Hammer	Removes all rune carvings applied to an equipment piece.
Rune Safeguard Scroll	Prevents the equipment from breaking while carving runes.
