What are Tattoos?
Tattoos are skills that are engraved onto your character, enabling it to use abilities with useful passive effects.
Where can I find the Tattooist NPC?
By talking to the Churisgo NPC in Olorun Village, you can secure your tattoos by providing her with the patterns to ink the tattoo onto your character.
What kind of tattoos are available in-game?
There are five tattoo patterns: Bear, Eagle, Snake, Lion and Corrupted Shadow. Each pattern (except Corrupted Shadow) has 8 tattoos, and every tattoo can be upgraded up to +9.
You can choose two different patterns for your character, but you cannot pick the tattoo itself. You will get a random one from the list of tattoos that pattern can have.
What is Tattoo Upgrading?
Every tattoo can be upgraded from +0 up to +9 to increase its effectiveness when activated.
How to do Tattoo Upgrading?
Upgrades can be done at the Churisgo NPC in Olorun Village, using a Tattoo Safeguard Scroll / Celestial Tattoo Safeguard Scroll.
What tools are available when Tattoo Upgrading?
Tattoo Remover Removes the selected tattoo pattern applied to you.
Tattoo Safeguard Scroll Prevents the tattoo from downgrading on a Major Failure while upgrading.
Golden Tattoo Safeguard Scroll Works like the Tattoo Safeguard Scroll, and also grants a +3% Base Success Chance Bonus plus a 50% chance to keep your materials when an upgrade fails.
Upgrade Success Rates
The higher the level, the lower the success rate. Use a Safeguard Scroll to protect your progress on the riskier tiers.
